About Kailey LaClare
Kailey LaClare is an artist and teacher based in Taos, New Mexico - passionate in the realms of light, color and sound, primarily expressed between stained glass and music. From a young age, she was naturally drawn to enchanting works of colors, textures, sounds, and essences existing in nature and throughout the many varying cultures, religions, and ecosystems of the world.
Origins
The studio settled in Taos, New Mexico the following autumn, where Kailey returned to her pre-pandemic love of alpine skiing and instructing. In 2022, a local request to restore a family heirloom, along with the debut of stained glass earrings and ornaments, marked the studio’s growth. From summer 2023 to autumn 2024, Kailey completed her first architectural work—four stained glass panels of the Taos mountain landscape for two dear friends.
LaClare Studio unexpectedly began in February 2021 in Savannah, Georgia, producing original and custom glass designs in the form of suncatchers. Later, between Savannah and Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kailey created her first stained glass window by request of a friend as a wedding gift to their groom: a replica of a church window displaying the swallows that would return each spring to the neighborhoods of San Juan Capistrano, California.
